I don't think you can assign that to tube amps. Any amp or speaker will react that way, if pushed hard enough. Flub it too much, and you can blow your speaker. For you, it's probably a volume, eq scenario: too much bass with too much volume.

One of Bill M's (RIP) mods adds another cap to the supply so the voltage doesn't sag as much and fart out when the power amp is driven hard. So, you can reduce fart at the expense of some sag.
