The trail was closed from Mary Mountain Lake to Hayden Valley due to bear activity. So in took the trail from the the Old Faithfull side not planning on making the entire trek, just taking a hike. The trail is flat and open at the start.

The trail is well marked - like most trails in Yellowstone. The problem is that the bison are always knocking down the trail markers.
